Installation & Assembly Policy
Installation & Assembly Policy
Rumi Pods are delivered fully assembled, meaning the structure itself does not require onsite construction. However, certain site-specific preparations and licensed utility connections are required. Please review the policy below carefully.
1. Fully Assembled Pod Delivery
Each Rumi Pod arrives as a complete, prebuilt structure. No construction or assembly of the pod body occurs onsite. Your delivery team will place the pod at the designated location on your property.
2. Site Preparation Requirements
Customers must ensure the placement area is level, accessible, and able to support the weight of the pod. Any required access equipment (forklift, crane, etc.) is the responsibility of the customer.
Rumi Pods is not responsible for delays or additional costs caused by inaccessible delivery sites.
3. Required Utility Connections
Although pods arrive fully assembled, they require licensed professional utility connections for proper operation:
- Electrical connection (must be completed by a licensed electrician)
- Plumbing connection, if your model includes a sink or water features (must be completed by a licensed plumber)
- Gas connection and propane supply for the BBQ grill must be provided and installed by a licensed professional in accordance with local codes, and all required licensed utility work and connections are mandatory by law.
Rumi Pods does not perform or supervise any utility work.
4. Local Code & Compliance Responsibility
Customers are responsible for ensuring that all utility connections and site preparation comply with local building codes, zoning regulations, and HOA requirements. Rumi Pods does not provide permitting services and is not liable for code-related issues.
5. No Construction or Structural Modification Services
Rumi Pods does not provide or contract:
- Carpentry or framing
- Structural modifications

Customers should consult qualified contractors if such work is needed for their property.
6. Third-Party Contractor Disclaimer
Any contractors hired by the customer — including crane operators, electricians, plumbers, or installers — are independent parties. Rumi Pods is not responsible for their actions, workmanship, delays, or damages.
We can provide recommendations upon request, but final selection and oversight remain the customer’s responsibility.
7. Customer Responsibility After Placement
Once the pod is placed on the property, the customer assumes responsibility for:
- Utility connection scheduling, including all required electrical, plumbing, and gas connections for the BBQ grill, which must be performed by licensed professionals in accordance with all applicable local codes and regulations.
- Coordinating contractors
- Protecting the pod until utilities are installed
- Any site work required to complete setup
Rumi Pods’ responsibility ends once the pod is successfully delivered and placed.
8. Liability Limitation
Rumi Pods is not liable for:
