Terms of Service — Rumi Pods

Effective Date: December 1st, 2025

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all purchases, orders, communications, and interactions with Rumi Pods (“Company,” “we,” “our,” “us”). By placing an order, submitting a deposit, or using our website, you (“Customer,” “Buyer,” “Client,” “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use this site or purchase any products.

1. Product Nature & Made-to-Order Status

All Rumi Pods are made-to-order, custom-manufactured products. By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Your pod is built specifically for you once payment is submitted.
  • All orders are final, non-cancelable, and non-refundable.
  • Variations in material texture, color tone, metal grain, or surface finish may occur and are not defects.
  • The Company reserves the right to improve or adjust product designs without notice as part of ongoing enhancement.

2. Pricing, Payments & Deposits

  • All pricing is subject to change without notice until a deposit or payment is received.
  • Deposits are non-refundable under all circumstances.
  • Orders are not placed into production until payment requirements are met.
  • Chargebacks, disputes, or reversal attempts will be treated as fraudulent activity and pursued legally.

3. Delivery, Placement & Access Requirements

  • Rumi Pods are delivered fully assembled by third-party logistics providers.
  • Customer is fully responsible for ensuring adequate property access, driveway clearance, ground stability, turning radius, and placement feasibility.
  • If your site requires additional equipment (such as a crane, forklift, rigging team, or special access vehicle), those costs are solely the customer’s responsibility.
  • Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees.

The Company is not liable for delays caused by:

  • Carriers
  • Weather
  • Transportation networks
  • Customs processes
  • Scheduling conflicts
  • Acts beyond our control

Delays do not constitute grounds for cancellation, refund, or compensation.

4. Installation, Utilities & Licensed Professionals

Although Rumi Pods are delivered fully assembled, all utility connections must be completed by licensed professionals, including:

  • Electrical connections
  • Plumbing connections
  • Gas line work, if applicable

The Company does not provide installation, construction, utility setup, or site-preparation services. Failure to hire licensed professionals may void all warranties and releases the Company from all liability.

5. Warranty Limitations & Exclusions

All warranty coverage is governed strictly by our standalone Warranty Policy. You acknowledge that the following are not covered under any warranty:

  • Damage from improper installation
  • Damage from unlicensed electrical or plumbing work
  • Damage from misuse, neglect, alteration, or natural wear
  • Damage caused by weather, environment, or improper maintenance
  • Cosmetic variations, scratches, minor panel shifting, or material expansion

The Company’s maximum liability is limited to the repair or replacement of defective covered parts at our discretion.

6. No Liability for Misuse or Property Damage

The Customer assumes full responsibility for:

  • Safe use of all appliances
  • Site readiness and utility access
  • Any damage occurring during placement on customer property
  • Any structural changes required for placement
  • All crane, rigging, and equipment needs
  • Any injuries resulting from improper use or installation

The Company is not responsible for:

  • Property damage during delivery caused by insufficient access
  • Damage caused by contractors hired by the customer
  • Damage caused by appliances or utility connections
  • Third-party errors or negligence

7. Indemnification Clause

You agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Rumi Pods and its partners from:

  • Claims
  • Damages
  • Legal fees
  • Costs
  • Disputes
  • Injuries
  • Property damage

arising from your purchase, installation, use, resale, or handling of any Rumi Pod.

This includes actions taken by:

  • Contractors
  • Installers
  • Delivery personnel
  • Guests
  • Tenants
  • Any third parties

8. No Returns, No Refunds, No Exchanges

Due to the custom, made-to-order nature of our products:

  • All sales are final.
  • No refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
  • No returns, even if unused.
  • No order cancellations once payment is submitted.

Customer acknowledges and accepts this non-negotiable policy.

9. Communications & Updates

Rumi Pods provides periodic updates during production and transport. Update frequency may vary depending on manufacturing and logistics conditions.

Failure to read or respond to updates does not constitute grounds for complaint or refund.

10. Governing Law & Legal Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. Any disputes must be resolved exclusively in Burlington County, NJ courts.

By purchasing, you waive any right to participate in class-action claims against the Company.

11. Right to Refuse Service

Rumi Pods reserves the right to decline orders or terminate communication with any customer for any reason, including:

  • Abusive or disrespectful behavior
  • Fraud risk
  • Payment disputes
  • Non-compliance with these Terms

12. Agreement to Terms

By using this website, submitting a quote request, paying a deposit, or placing an order, you affirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms in full.

13. Image, Media & 3D Rendering Disclaimer

Certain images, videos, and promotional materials displayed on this website may include computer-generated (3D) renderings, digital mockups, staged environments, or enhanced visuals used solely for illustration and marketing purposes. These renderings are intended to provide a general representation of the product’s design, layout, and aesthetic, and may not depict exact colors, textures, materials, proportions, lighting behavior, or included accessories.

Actual finished products may vary due to manufacturing processes, material differences, finishing techniques, monitor and device display settings, and ongoing product improvements. Such variations are normal and do not constitute defects.

Any accessories, décor, appliances, or surrounding environments shown in photos or renderings are not included unless explicitly listed in the written product description on the product page.

By purchasing a Rumi Pod, the Customer acknowledges and agrees that digital renderings, enhanced visuals, and marketing media are approximations, and that reasonable variations between displayed media and the delivered product are expected and accepted.
